The High-performance Embedded Workshop (HEW) was updated to Ver.3.0.02 on December 15, 2003. Descriptions and how to update are shown below.

    We have fixed the problem that the HEW did not quit normally.

Read This Before Downloading Update Program

The installer of the update program (hewv3002u.exe) released on November 20 had the following restrictions.
Therefore, we have fixed the problems and updated the program (hewv3002u2.exe) for the HEW Ver.3.0.02 on December 15. Because we revised the installer only and the HEW is not modified, the version number is the same as the previous one.

And, if you have successfully installed the update program (hewv3002u.exe) released on November 20,
you do not need download the new update program (hewv3002u2.exe) released on December 15.

1. In the following cases, you cannot update the HEW Ver.3.0.02.
   • Updated from Ver.1.0.00 to Ver.2.0.02
   • Updated from Ver.1.0.00 to Ver.2.0.02 (via Ver.2.0.01)
2. With the following products, you cannot update the HEW Ver.3.0.02.
   • Professional version and Free version
     of C compiler M3T-NC30WA for the M16C/60, M16C/30, M16C/Tiny, M16C/20, M16C/10, R8C/Tiny Series

How to Update

Please save "hewv3002u2.exe" in an appropriate folder and execute it.

Notes

• When the HEW Ver.3.0 or HEW Ver.3.01 are not installed, it is not updated to the HEW Ver.3.0.02.
• Any components (Tool chain, Simulator, etc.) other than the HEW are not updated.
• In use of SuperH RISC engine C/C++compiler package (P0700CAS7-MWR), please update to the HEW Ver.3.0.02 after upgrading a compiler package to Ver.7.1.03 or Ver.7.1.04.
  In use of H8S, H8/300 series C/C++compiler package (PS008CAS5-MWR), please update to the HEW Ver.3.0.02 after upgrading a compiler package to Ver.5.0.05 or Ver.5.0.06.
