1-3 Controllers

The SuperH-Controller is a product for real-time control, using SH-1, SH-2, SH2-DSP and newly introduced SH-2A CPU cores.

These products have the SH-1 CPU core using 56 basic instructions.
For example, the SH7034 is a single chip, externally extensible microcomputer having 112 pin package with 64 KB on-chip ROM and 4 KB on-chip RAM. It has on-chip peripherals such as 16-bit multifunction timer ITU, 10-bit A/D converter, asynchronous and clock synchronous serial ports and DMA controller, and operates at 20MHz.

These products have the SH-2 CPU core with an enhanced instruction set of 62 instructions and relative branching throughout memory.
For example, the SH7047 has a 100 pin package with 256 KB on-chip flash ROM and 12 KB on-chip RAM and improved motor control functions. It has on-chip peripherals such as 2 units of 16-bit timer MTU and MMT for inverter and AC motor control, 2 blocks 10-bit A/D converter units for a total of 16 channels, HCAN capable of connecting to controller area network (CAN) and data transmission (DTC), and operates at 50MHz. It also has the H-UDI J-TAG function for debugging.

These products have the SH-2E CPU core, a SH-2 with a on-chip single-precision floating point unit.
The SH7058 is a microcomputer that is ideal for automobile engine control, operates at 80MHz. It has a 256 pin package with large capacity 1 MB on-chip flash ROM and 48 KB on-chip RAM. It has on-chip peripherals such as a 32 channel A/D converter, 1 channel 32-bit timer channel and 11 channels 16-bit timer, with ATU, CAN, DMAC, H-UDI and other functions.

These products have the SH2-DSP CPU core, which is an enhanced version of SH-2 with additional function to repeat multiplication-accumulation for each clock cycle.

The SH7065 operates at 60MHz, with 256 KB on-chip flash ROM and 8 KB on-chip RAM. It has on-chip peripherals such as a 16-bit multifunction timer TPU and inverter control timer MMT, Transmit FIFO serial ports and receive 16 bytes, A/D and D/A converters, DMAC and DTC. The SuperH Controller will evolve to the SH-2A.
Operating at 200MHz, the SH-2A is 2-way superscalar with Harvard architecture. It shows the performance of 360 MIPS in Dhrystone.
